IDM Albania

This paper considers that in Albania, the control and oversight of the interception of telecommunications, as mechanisms for guaranteeing that human rights are fully respected of and that such method is used only for lawful purposes, is inexistent or exists only formally. It suggests that the legislation should be revised in order to provide for establishing such functional mechanisms.
